Planning Center Printouts
Custom HTML, CSS, and Liquid reporting templates for Planning Center Services that transform raw service plans into high-contrast production rundowns, departmental cue sheets, assigned-times matrices, and stage song lists.
The problem
Default Planning Center printouts either include too much clutter for fast on-stage reading or omit the departmental columns and callout formatting that audio, video, lighting, and stage leads need during a live show.
How I approached it
I built custom Liquid templates with conditional layout logic that adapts to each ministry and service structure—dynamically organizing item timings, departmental notes, rehearsal/service call-time matrices, and print-triggered iframe layouts.
Inside the build
- Built production rundown templates that dynamically organize service elements, notes, timings, and departmental columns for live execution.
- Created assigned-times matrix views so teams can quickly see rehearsal and service attendance responsibilities across a full schedule.
- Designed song-list printouts optimized for fast on-stage readability, duplication, and clean printed distribution.
- Used Liquid templating and conditional formatting to adapt layouts based on ministry, service structure, categories, notes, and production context.
The result
Adopted across rehearsals and weekend services to keep a 90-person technical and worship team aligned on cues, schedules, and transitions.
